You can’t just rely on having great policies and procedures – they need to be effectively implemented, and a strong safety culture is crucial in achieving this.
In order for your Health & Safety Management system to be effective, EVERYONE has to be complying with your policies and procedures ALL of the time – even when they’re not in the middle of an inspection/audit or being supervised by their Line Manager… and that’s the difficult bit!
So, what do we mean by health and safety culture? What are the common challenges to creating and sustaining a positive health and safety culture throughout your school? And most importantly… how can you overcome these challenges?

Having attended the conference many times before, I can honestly say that this is a really fabulous and well-organised event, jam packed with keynotes and breakout sessions specific to the current Estates and H&S challenges faced by independent schools.
The conference also provides an excellent opportunity to network with those in similar roles, and to visit the stands of some fantastic industry suppliers (including Pearson Webb Consulting!).
