Pearson Webb Consulting was launched with a clear focus on the Education and Charity sectors, with whom founders Michelle (Pearson) and Adam (Webb) have worked for a combined 30+ years.
With a background in insurance, we also have a unique insight into civil claims defensibility, alongside the legislative compliance issues that H&S consultants would normally focus on. We support clients to foster a cycle of continuous improvement, taking them beyond compliance to the very best that they can be.
We operate nationwide from our base in Worcestershire, affording easy access to all corners of the country. Whilst we may be a small team, our time and energy are focussed on providing our clients with a truly outstanding level of service.
Don’t just take our word for it though…

It is imperative that we give the correct advice… every time, so we invest in what matters – the knowledge and competence of our team.
We foster long term relationships with clients, guaranteeing continuity of consultant and
consistency of approach – you won’t have to start from scratch each year with a new person.
We are solutions-driven and understand that recommendations must be workable for you – we
don’t just dictate legislation, we discuss how to reach the desired outcome, together.
We place clients at the centre of all we do – we seek to gain a clear understanding of what you actually want, rather than selling a fixed package of what we think you need.
We operate with openness and honesty – no hidden costs or earnings, and if we quote for work, we complete it – we won’t subcontract to associate consultants, just to fulfil orders.
Health & Safety is such a wide subject area that we cannot be all things to all people – we don’t try to be! We stick to the specialist sectors that we understand thoroughly.
Michelle is a Health & Safety Consultant with over 20 years’ experience and Co-Founder of Pearson Webb Consulting. Michelle began her Health & Safety career at a Further Education College, gaining valuable hands-on experience in managing risk across the various academic and support departments.
Michelle then went on to become a self-employed Health & Safety Consultant serving Education clients in the south-west. From there, Michelle went on to join a nationwide insurance broking and risk management firm specialising in the Education and Charity sectors, where she headed up their Risk Services division – providing Health & Safety support services to Education and Charity clients across the UK.
Michelle now leads on all things Health & Safety at Pearson Webb Consulting. Michelle is passionate about training and education. She has vast experience of developing and delivering bespoke training courses, and is a regular speaker at industry events – the most recent being a breakout session on safety culture at The Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) Estates and H&S Conference 2024, and webinar on Management of Health & Safety for Lettings.
Away from work Michelle is a busy mum to a 5 year-old and finds herself spending a disproportionate amount of time in soft play centres (whilst quietly risk assessing!).

Adam has been a Fire Risk Assessor and H&S Consultant since 2011, before which he was a Chartered Insurance Broker and Risk Manager.
Having graduated Loughborough Uni (naively) thinking exams were a thing of the past, Adam then proceeded to complete additional qualifications in Insurance, Health & Safety and Fire Risk Management. Following a few years as a Chartered Insurance Broker, Adam then proceeded to found the Risk Services division of the same insurance broking firm, to provide H&S and HR/Employment advisory and consultancy services to those clients.
Latterly being joined in the management team by a certain ‘Mrs Pearson’ to take a share of the responsibility, Adam then moved into specialising in Fire Risk Assessment due to the unprecedented demand that was being faced, particularly in the Education and Care sectors. In both cases these are highly regulated ‘caring’ organisations who simply have to get it right with fire safety, and who genuinely care for their people (whether staff or clients/ pupils) and want to keep them safe. This makes them highly rewarding clients to work with.
Adam now leads on all things Fire Safety at Pearson Webb Consulting, and away from the office loves nothing more than wandering the hills (and pubs) of the Lake District, normally carrying two kids with tired legs!
