The Safer Schools Podcast – Episode 13: “To RIDDOR, or not to RIDDOR, that is the question!”

With the most common type of query received via our Fixed Fee Advisory Service being whether an accident or incident is reportable under RIDDOR 2013 (or not!), we talk through the reporting requirements and discuss the many grey areas.

Join us for Episode 13 of The Safer Schools Podcast as we seek to demystify the reporting requirements of the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 2013, including:

  • What is RIDDOR 2013
  • What needs to be reported
  • Who needs to report
  • When to report
  • How to report
  • Talking through some examples in our segment “To RIDDOR, or not to RIDDOR, that is the question!”
  • What happens after a RIDDOR report has been submitted
  • The consequences of failing to report; and
  • Additional considerations, such as internal reporting processes, policies, and reporting to your insurers.

RIDDOR stands for the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 and not surprisingly, these regulations require you to report certain types of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences through to your enforcing authority
