The Safer Schools Podcast – Episode 1: Pupil Access to Risky Areas, is out now!

We're on a mission.... to make our schools safer!

Join us for Episode 1 of The Safer Schools Podcast where we discuss pupil access to risky areas, including:

  • What is meant by ‘risky areas’ and how you can identify them
  • What the law requires you to do, including the requirements set out in the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools
  • The common issues we come across in schools…. and
  • Some practical advice on how to manage these areas.

Those higher-risk areas where pupils either have absolutely no need to enter, and so we’d deem them as completely out of bounds (such as your plant rooms), and also those areas that pupils will need to access, but only with supervision or under carefully controlled conditions… so your Science labs, Design Technology workshops etc.

If you’re a Health & Safety Manager, Bursar, Estates Director, Maintenance Manager, or indeed ANYONE responsible for overseeing Health & Safety, Estates compliance, or boarding provision in a school, then this is the episode for you!

Let’s start a conversation on how we can make our schools safer!
